Charyn Canyon
The mountain reservoir Bartogai is located
in the tract of the same name in the floodplain of the Chilik River between the mountains of Toraigyr and Sogetty, blocked by a rock-fill dam 60 meters high, 330 meters long with a complex of culverts. Its depth is 25 meters. From here the Big Almaty Canal originates.

If none of the indicated names of mountains, rivers and the canal tells you anything, like the reservoir itself, fate strongly recommends that you visit here at least once in your life.
Surely before us you have already contacted our colleagues and this location was presented by all of them in the first place. Do not be surprised, but we are there too. The place is so unusual that even experienced tourists return to the canyon more than one (attention) dozen times.

Here is what Wikipedia says about this place:
The canyon stretches for 154 km along the Charyn River In Kazakhstan. The canyon is located 195 km east of the city of Almaty, near the border with China. The Charyn Canyon is a natural monument made up of sedimentary rocks, whose age is about 12 million years. The height of the steep mountains of the canyon reaches 150-300 m. Until now, some of our compatriots are arguing about how it appeared .. thanks to the wind or the sea is to blame. Guess the correct answer?
