Perhaps, if not the Most, then one of the most popular tourist locations in the Almaty region. Almost every guest of our country, and the people of Kazakhstan themselves, dream of seeing this famous mountain lake. It is located at an altitude of 1854 meters above sea level. It is located 300 km from Almaty, in (without shameless exaggeration) the most beautiful gorge of the eastern part of the Kungei-Alatau ridge. There are only three lakes, but in this tour we visit only the lower one.

The lake was formed as a result of the Kemin earthquake in January 1911. In the late 1980s, the area of the lake decreased after the passage of mudflows. In summer, the average air temperature reaches +23 degrees, and water +6. Despite the low water temperature, Lake Kaindy is popular with diving enthusiasts.
